Mr. Mark LaCombe is a distinguished Academy Coach at the Center for Manufacturing, Automation, and Design Engineering (MADE) at Stevenson High School, part of Utica Community Schools. With over two decades of teaching experience, Mr. LaCombe has played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application in the fields of manufacturing and engineering.
A graduate of Kalamazoo College, Mr. LaCombe holds degrees in economics, business, and mathematics, which have provided him with a robust foundation for his career in education. Prior to his current role, he spent 14 years teaching mathematics, where he developed a deep passion for problem-solving and innovative thinking. This passion seamlessly translated into his role as an educator in the MADE Academy.
In his current position, Mr. LaCombe specializes in connecting local businesses with students and teachers to integrate real-world manufacturing and engineering projects into the classroom.
